THE ASTROLOGY OF 2024: LET’S CREATE A BETTER FUTURE FOR ALL OF HUMANITY
2023 was a transitional year since Saturn, Pluto, Mars, and the lunar nodes all changed signs that they were in for a long while. It wasn’t the year where "everything fell into place" as if that ever really happens?
It was the year where new beginnings were initiated, whether they were tiny, new seeds planted or big, obvious transitions. When we're in a transitional time, things can feel quite challenging because we haven't "arrived" at our "destination" yet even though there is no real, set destination per say.
Whatever we were trying to call into our lives may not have shown up yet in physical form, but it's been brewing. 2024 has more initiation and forward-moving energy than 2023 did, so you can expect to see more physical manifestations of the changes you've been wanting.
As I've previously mentioned, the AIR element is prominent in 2024. The fire element is prominent as well because the Mercury retrogrades will be in fire signs, we have an eclipse in Aries in April, and Mars will go retrograde in Leo in December, 2024. With the abundance of fire energy and air energy, especially the latter half of the new year, things could get a bit chaotic. Air and fire energy is busy energy. 2024 is going to be a busier year, more active.

Some of the major energies we're working with in 2024 are Mercury and Venus related. Venus was the star of 2023 with the major Venus retrograde, eclipses in Venus' signs, Jupiter in Venus' sign, and Saturn in Venus' exaltation sign.
Venus will still remain a star in 2024 with Jupiter in Venus' sign until May, eclipses in Libra and Pisces (Venus' home and exaltation signs) and Saturn remaining in Venus' exaltation sign, AND Mercury will emerge as another major player of 2024.
Mercury rules Gemini, where Jupiter will be from May through the end of the year. Mercury is also a triplicity ruler of the air signs and Gemini is an air sign. Pluto is in Aquarius most of the year, and Aquarius is also an air sign. We have two eclipses in Libra, the other air sign.
Mercury is communication, words, technology, the mind, ideas, inventions, etc. Venus is love, creativity, art, etc. So, with the combo of Venus and Mercury, 2024 will be a highly creative and innovative year. When Jupiter moves into Gemini, our mind will expand with an abundance of possibilities. Pluto in Aquarius offers us this as well.
There is a focus on creating the future, and we must make sure that it is a better future of all of humanity and not just those at the top hoarding wealth and power.
Whether we like it or not, AI is a part of our world now and will only become more integrated into our everyday lives. May we use the best parts of AI to help support humanity instead of destroy it. May the continued development of AI get more in the hands of the right people, people with diverse social and cultural identities who care about all humans so that the systems of oppression will not be further reinforced.
What we can do is try to make the world a better place in our everyday lives. We have the power to call for more ceasefires, to liberate ourselves and each other from systemic oppression, to advocate for social justice and human rights, to design our systems and structures from an inclusive and equitable place, to act from a place of love with healthy boundaries.
While 2024 is a more active year than 2023 in many ways, it is still a transition year leading us into a new world that the astrology of 2025-2026 indicate.
Because 2024 is full of air and fire energy, it’s extra important that we not get too wrapped up in our minds, but come back to our bodies and intuition regularly. It’s imperative that we rely on our intuition and stay stable and grounded while these new changes take place.
