The planets act as signs and guides giving us powerful insights into our lives. The planets are archetypes that show us what energies and themes we are working with at any given time in our lives. One of the powers of astrology is how it affirms any experience that you’re going through, have gone through, or will go through.
Astrology shows us what the weather of our lives might be like, and how we might want to plan. Astrology is useful for looking at the topics that are in focus for you right now or over the next year or two of your life, and it’s perhaps mostuseful in hindsight, using this divination practice to reflect on the past experiences in our lives as well as what’s going on for us in the moment. Astrology affirms both the joyous and challenging events in our life and everything in between.
It’s not that astrology is saying that everything in your life is “meant to be” or that everything happens for a reason. I, personally, don’t believe that, because, then, that would justify oppression, harm, abuse and other terrible things. I believe that our souls came into this life with a general plan, agenda or desire of what it wants to do, but that doesn’t mean that everything goes according to plan because our human lives on earth are different than the soul world. No human is an island, which means that we are impacted by other people, society, societal conditioning and systemic oppression. The soul comes to earth and has multiple purposes and plans, but they don’t all go accordingly because humanity is humanity and it is imperfect. Setbacks, obstacles, and challenges seem to be a fact of life on Earth.
Astrology zeros in on the life your soul intended to help you live more of it. Your birth chart reveals the various experiences your soul came here to have. It also reveals your personality and who you are as well as all aspects of your life including your romantic partners, business partners, friends, parents, ancestors, places you live, your children and pets if you have them, hobbies, career/work, relationship to money, access to resources, etc.
